Rapport Leadership International was founded, and is headquartered, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Classes are offered at our 20,000 square-foot Executive Retreat in Alamo, Nevada (about 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada), as well as across North America, the Caribbean and in Italy.
Rapport's founders and history
Rapport Leadership International was founded in Las Vegas in 1985 by Mike and JoAnn Knapp. JoAnn has a bachelor’s degree in education and a Master’s Degree in psychological testing. Prior to Rapport, she taught special education for the Clark County School District and communication skills throughout the United States and Canada. Mike majored in journalism, served in the U.S. Marines, and worked as a national sales trainer for Collier Encyclopedia. In starting Rapport, the Knapps combined their passion for leadership development with their entrepreneurial spirits.
In 2003, the Knapp’s promoted Michael Saletta as the company’s President and CEO, beginning their transition out of the day-to-day operations of the business. In 2005, Michael and Christine Saletta, and Joe and Jenifer Tate purchased Rapport Leadership International. Together, the Salettas and Tates share a bold vision of impacting the world through leadership development. They lead the ongoing Rapport mission of empowering business people, students, and family members to live a life of leadership that embodies growth, purpose, giving back and making a positive influence.
Today the Rapport Leadership International team of almost 100 employees is proud to build on the vision the Knapps began over 20 years ago. Rapport’s passionate commitment to bringing powerful leadership development programs to the world continues to expand, as the growing demand for our unique brand of performance-based training and coaching continues to produce unparalleled results.
