Rapport Enthusiastically Congratulates Jace Meier
"I will never be able to repay the people involved with Rapport for everything they have done for me, so I have chosen instead to make the most possible out of this amazing thing we call LIFE!"
~Jace Meier
Rapport Leadership International is excited to introduce you to Mr. Jace Meier. Jace is an incredible teen who is always pushing himself to his own next level. Whether he is excelling in school, volunteering his time in the community, taking on leadership roles within the community and at school, or continuing to develop as a professional race car driver, Jace does everything with heart, body and soul. Among his many accomplishments, Jace is the senior class president, has a weighted GPA of 4.13, takes a full schedule of honors courses, volunteers at the local shelter for women and children, and is a four-time racing champion.
Jace acknowledges the gains he has made personally and professionally, and credits much of it to what he learned in his training at Rapport Leadership International. He explains that since Teen Leadership Breakthrough, “I stopped looking up towards friends, being a follower, and being intimidated by people that I saw higher than myself. I now see myself as the leader and work toward becoming a person that people want to follow.” As Jace has stepped into his own as a leader, he has also learned that there are leaders all around him, including his sister Kami. Of his Teen Eagle Quest course Jace says, “I vowed to my team on March 13, 2004 that I would develop a better relationship with my sister. That has always been the “weak link” in my family life, and I promised myself that I would strengthen it. Kami and I are now the closest we’ve ever been. I know that she looks up to me, but what she didn’t know is that I look up to her too. We are now friends rather than two kids that happen to be siblings. I have learned to respect her, which has allowed me to see what an amazing person she is.”
Jace sets his mind on achieving his future goals of becoming a NASCAR champion and eventually owning his own racing team. To accomplish these goals Jace competes on and off the track, furthering his business savvy by competing in the “Accounting Principals Division” of DECA, an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship, where he is the current division and state champion. Jace credits his Teen Leadership Breakthrough course with the success he has had in the classroom saying, “Nearly as soon as I graduated, I was able to better concentrate, resulting in less time spent doing work, better understanding of the material, and ultimately higher grades.”
Jace also makes time in his busy schedule to participate in a drug-and-alcohol-free program sponsored by the Clark and Nye county sheriff offices. Jace dresses in full racing gear, and visits local elementary schools to talk about the “importance of making good choices and understanding the consequences associated with poor ones,” explains Captain Gary Davis of the Nye County Sheriff’s Department. “The kids can relate to Jace because he is closer to their age, yet they idolize him as a successful race car driver. We’ve found that the students listen better and learn more in this scenario."
Rapport is honored to be associated with this outstanding young man, and we are thrilled to announce Jace as our first recipient of the Rapport Living Leadership Scholarship. Jace lives leadership everyday. We invite you to visit Jace’s website, www.jacemeier.com, to learn more about him and his promising racing career. Please join us in recognizing this extraordinary teen!
