Hello Gentlemen,
I wanted to share with you something that we did yesterday with our entire company. As I presented to you in our last meeting, the plan for EBCO was to get every person in the company through the exercises that we experienced in May. We executed it yesterday with the help of Michael Saletta and Gina Jonas. I want to share with you the initial thoughts and some of things that went really well.
- The energy of a meeting with the entire company on business betterment through communication, teamwork, feedback, cause and effect, and mega company is absolutely unmatched in anything we have ever done.
- Rapport’s involvement in the process was an incredible value. Without them we would not have succeeded the way that we did.
- Our management team (store managers, marketing, training, CFO, CEO, Warehouse Manager) were trained for a day by Rapport and then facilitated most of the day. Every exercise that we went through in Summit II was facilitated by the team. It was powerful to watch them master each subject and blow the lid off with their performance. Their confidence level is off the charts.
- We shut everything down from 8A.M. to 3PM to allow this to happen. Every employee of EBCO was there (I think we had about 5 out of 180 not available. We sent the people out to the stores to open the stores and offered 10% off for the rest of the day for the customer’s inconvenience and had a decent day ($52, 000 where average weekdays have been in the high $60,000’s). No mailers no advance notice to the staff.
- I had at least 20 people say that it was the best work experience that they had ever had and today I see communication windows open all over the place.
